Spicy Texas Barbeque Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 cup | 237ml | Ketchup |
| 1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown sugar - firmly packed |
| 1/4 cup | 59ml | Lime juice |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Ground red chilies |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce |
| 1 1/2 cups | 93g / 3.3oz | Chopped onion |
| 2 | Jalapenos, seeded - finely chopped | |
| 2 | Garlic - finely chopped | |
| 12 oz | 340g | Tomato paste |
| 12 oz | 340g | Beer, any brand |
Combine ingredients in a 2 quart saucepan and heat to boiling in a saucepan; reduce heat to low.
Cover and simmer 1 hour; stirring occasionally.
Makes about 5 cups of sauce.
