2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Onion - chopped |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Ketchup |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Beef stock) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Worcestershire sauce |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Lemon juice |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Red wine vinegar |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Brown sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Dry mustard |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Black peppercorns - cracked |
OR black pepper |
In saucepan, cook onion in butter until softened.
Add remaining ingredients; bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 15-20 minutes.
Makes 1 1/2 cups
