Kentucky Colonel's Secret Pork Barbecue Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2 1/2 cups | 592ml | Water |
| 1/4 cup | 59ml | Vinegar |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sugar |
| 3 teaspoons | 15ml | Pepper |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
| 3 teaspoons | 15ml | Salt |
| 1/4 | Chopped onion | |
| 1 | Garlic - minced | |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Red pepper |
| 2 teaspoons | 10ml | Chili powder |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Red pepper sauce |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dry mustard powder |
| 3 tablespoons | 45ml | Worcestershire sauce |
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Cool overnight, warm before using.
Start basting meat with this at the beginning of the cooking process.
Baste and turn until pork registers 170F on a meat thermometer (takes about 20 minutes for country ribs.)
