| 3 cups | 279g / 9.8oz | Ralston brand fruit and nut muesli with, crushed to 2 cranberries | 
| 1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Margarine or butter - melted (1/2 stick) | 
| 1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Packed brown sugar | 
| Filling | ||
| 2 cups | 186g / 6.6oz | Cranberries - fresh or frozen | 
| 1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar | 
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Water | 
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice | 
| 1 | Apple pie filling - (20 oz.) | |
| Shredded cheese optional | ||
| Mint leaves optional | 
To prepare crust, preheat oven to 350F. In medium bowl combine cereal, margarine and brown sugar. Press cereal mixture firmly into 9-inch fluted tart pan or 9-inch pie plate. Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely.
To prepare filling, in medium saucepan over medium heat combine cranberries, sugar, water and lemon juice. Cook, stirring frequently, until mixture comes to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 15 to 18 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and cool completely. Pour apple pie filling into cooled crust; top with cooled cranberry mixture. Garnish with cheese and mint if desired.
