My Mother's Wine Jelly Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

2   Unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup 118mlCold water
1 cup 237mlBoiling water
1 2/3 cups 394mlSherry
3 tablespoons 45mlBrandy
1 cup 198g / 7ozSugar
1/3 cup 78mlOrange juice
3 tablespoons 45mlLemon juice
  <for serving>
  Sweetened whipped cream - <or>
  Boiled custard

Recipe Instructions

Soften gelatin in cold water. Dissolve in boiling water. Add sherry, brandy, sugar, orange juice, and lemon juice. Pour in mold and chill until set. Serve with sweetened whipped cream, flavored with sherry or brandy, or boiled custard.

Serves 6 to 8
