| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter or margarine |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Maple syrup |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Apple - cored; thinly (large) sliced |
| 1 | Firm - ripe pear, cored; thinly sliced | |
| 1/3 cup | 53g / 1.9oz | Raisins or currants |
| 1/3 cup | 48g / 1.7oz | Walnuts or pecans - chopped |
| 1 | Ground cinnamon | |
| 1 | Nutmeg | |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Water |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Brandy |
1. Melt butter in a saute pan or large skillet. Stir in maple syrup and adjust to taste.
2. Add remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat and stir until fruits are tender.
* Timesaver Tip: Ingredients can be prepared ahead; rub apple and pear slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
