Yemenite Charoset Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Dates - pitted and chopped |
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Dried figs |
| 1/3 cup | 78ml | Sweet passover wine |
| 3 tablespoons | 45ml | Sesame seeds |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground ginger |
| 1 | Coriander | |
| 1 | Cayenne - --or-- | |
| 1 | Red chili peppers - seeded and minced (small) | |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Matzah meal |
In a large bowl, combine the dates, figs and wine. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend thoroughly. Roll into one inch balls, or serve in a bowl.
