Citrus Barbecue Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Onion - finely chopped (large) |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Ground red chiles |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground red pepper |
| 1 | Ancho chile - seeded, and | |

| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Orange juice |
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Lime juice |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Lemon juice |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Minced fresh cilantro |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
Cook onion, ground red chiles, red pepper and ancho chile in oil, stirring frequently, until onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
This recipe yields 2 1/3 cups.
