Hot-Spicy Texas Barbecue Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index

| 8 | Garlic cloves - minced (large) | |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Strong black coffee | 
| 1 cup | 237ml | Worcestershire sauce | 
| 1 cup | 237ml | Tomato ketchup | 
| 1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Dark brown sugar - (firmly packed) | 
| 1/4 cup | 59ml | Apple cider vinegar | 
| 1/4 cup | 59ml | Texas-style chilli powder | 
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt | 
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Finely-ground black pepper | 
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to very low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Let mixture cool in the pan for 30 minutes at room temperature, then puree in 2 batches in a blender of food processor.
Serve warm or at room temperature, as an accompaniment to barbecued beef or sausage.
