Cinnamon Rolls

There is something completely irresistible about the smell of freshly baked cinnamon rolls -- not to mention the taste when they're still warm from the oven. And if you follow this recipe, we're sure you'll find that you simply can't stop at eating just one. We suggest you cut them into squares, but there's nothing to keep you from shaping your dough into swirls, snails, crescents, rosettes, braids or ovals. Truly, the possibilities are as limitless as your imagination.

Recipe Ingredients

1   Sweet Dough - (small size)
1/2 cup 80g / 2.8ozBrown sugar
2 teaspoons 10mlCinnamon
3 tablespoons 45mlSoft butter or margarine

Recipe Instructions

Prepare sweet dough as directed to Dough stage. Remove dough from pan. Cover and let rest 5 minutes.

Combine brown sugar, cinnamon and butter. Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 12- by 9-inch rectangle. Spread brown sugar mixture evenly over dough. Roll up tightly from long side. Pinch edges together to seal.

Cut roll into 12 slices. Place in large greased muffin cups. Cover; let rise in warm place until doubled in size (40 to 50 minutes).

Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden. Turn pan upside down and leave 5 minutes, then remove rolls from pan. Cool slightly before enjoying.

This recipe yields 12 rolls.
