| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |

| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Honey |
| 1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Rolled oats |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Fast rise yeast |
| (or 1 1/2 tspns active dry yeast) | ||
| Large 1 1/2 To 2 Lb Loaf | ||
| 1 1/4 cups | 296ml | Water |
| 3 cups | 187g / 6.6oz | White bread flour |
| 1 1/2 tablespoons | 22ml | Dry milk |
| 1 1/2 tablespoons | 22ml | Salt |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Honey |
| 1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Rolled oats |
| 2 teaspoons | 10ml | Fast rise yeast |

Follow the instructions for your particular brand of bread baking machine. This recipe can be made with the regular, rapid or delayed bake cycles.
This recipe yields 1 loaf.
Hints: For added texture, add the oats after the first knead or at the beep on the fruit and nut cycle. For additional crunch, sprinkle a few oats on top of the loaf after the final rise. Instant oatmeal doesn't work, but quick-cooking oats do.
