Dill Pickle Rye Bread Recipe - Cooking Index
You may want to reduce or eliminate the salt from the recipe. The pickle brine should provide all you need.

| 3/4 cup | 177ml | Water |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Dill pickle brine |
| 1 | Egg | |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Shortening |
| 3 cups | 187g / 6.6oz | Bread flour |
| 1 1/2 cups | 93g / 3.3oz | Rye flour |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
| 1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Salt |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dill weed |
| 1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Caraway seed |
| 3 teaspoons | 15ml | Yeast |
Place all ingredients in your machine in the order specified by your machine's manufacturer. Select the basic or white cycle and press start.
This recipe yields 1 loaf.
