Shrimp Scampi Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Unpeeled jumbo fresh shrimp |
| 1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Onion - finely chopped (medium) |
| 4 | Garlic cloves - minced | |
| 1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Butter or margarine - melted |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Lemon juice |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dried tarragon |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Steak sauce |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Worcestershire sauce |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Hot sauce |
| Hot cooked fettuccine | ||
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped fresh parsley |
Peel and devein shrimp. Cook onion and garlic in butter in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring constantly, 4 minutes; add lemon juice and next 4 ingredients. Bring to a boil; add shrimp, and cook, stirring constantly, 3 to 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Serve over fettuccine. Sprinkle with parsley.
