Cracker Barrel Old Country Store's Potato Soup Recipe - Cooking Index
| 3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Potatoes - peeled, and |
| Diced 1/2" by 1" pieces | ||
| = (weigh 3 lbs after peeling) | ||
| 8 oz | 227g | Chopped celery |
| 2 1/2 | Water | |
| 4 oz | 113g | Chicken base |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Pepper |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Jane's Crazy Salt |

| 1 1/2 | Milk | |
| 4 oz | 113g | Melted margarine |
| 1 | Cup flour |
In large pot put first 7 ingredients and simmer 20 minutes. Add milk and bring to 170 degrees.
In bowl blend melted margarine and flour until smooth then add 1 quart of soup broth and blend. Using wire whip add back to pot and blend well. Simmer 20 minutes.
This recipe yields 12 (10-oz) servings.
