Homemade Potato Soup Recipe - Cooking Index
| 6 | Potatoes - peeled, and cut | |
| Into bite-size pieces | ||
| 2 | Leeks - washed, sliced | |
| 2 | Onions - chopped | |
| 1 | Carrot - scraped, sliced | |
| 1 | Celery stalk - sliced | |
| 4 | Chicken bouillon cubes | |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Parsley flakes |
| 4 cups | 948ml | Water |
| 1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Salt - or to taste |
| Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
| 1 | Evaporated milk - (13 oz) | |
| Chopped chives - for garnish |
Put all ingredients except milk and chives in crockpot. Cook on LOW 10 to 12 hours or HIGH 3 to 4 hours.
Stir in milk in the last hour. Serve topped with chives.
