Crockpot Fried Apples Recipe - Cooking Index
Use these apples as a topping, a filling, or alone topped with whipped cream.
Type: Fruit| 3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored, |
| And sliced | ||
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cinnamon |
| 1 | Freshly-grated nutmeg - (optional) | |
| 3 tablespoons | 45ml | Cornstarch |
| 1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Granulated sugar |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter - (to 2 tbspns) - cut in small pieces |
Place apple slices in the crockpot; stir in remaining ingredients and dot with the butter. Cover and cook on LOW for about 6 hours, or until apples are tender but not mushy. Stir about halfway through cooking.
This recipe yields 2 1/2 to 3 cups.
