Spicy Malaysian-Style Beef Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Lean round steak - trimmed, and |
| Cut in 1 1/2" pieces | ||
| 1 | Onion - chopped | |
| 1 | Garlic clove - finely chopped | |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Finely-chopped jalapeño pepper |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Prepared mustard |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Light soy sauce |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Coconut flavoring |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground coriander |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground ginger |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground cumin |
Combine ingredients in a crockpot and stir well. Cover and cook at LOW setting until meat is very tender -- about 12 to 18 hours.
Serve with brown rice and steamed vegetables, if desired.
