Provencal Pork Burgers Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground pork |
| Juice of 1/2 lemon | ||
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Olive oil - (to 3) |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Herbes de Provence |
| 1/2 | Onion - finely chopped | |
| 3 oz | 85g | Garlic-and-herb cream cheese |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Fennel seeds |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dried oregano |
| Salt - to taste | ||
| Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
| For Serving | ||
| Baguette | ||
| Sliced tomatoes | ||
| Pitted black olives |
Put the ground pork into a bowl with the lemon juice, oil, herbes de Provence, onion, cream cheese, fennel seeds, oregano, and salt and pepper to taste and mix well. Divide the mixture into 4 balls and flatten to form patties.
Cook the burgers over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, until browned and firm. Serve between slices of baguette with tomatoes and olives.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
