| 4 | Garlic cloves - crushed | |
| 1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Fresh bread crumbs |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped fresh cilantro |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Plain yogurt |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground cumin |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Paprika |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Curry powder |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Tomato paste |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground cinnamon |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Turmeric |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
| For Serving | ||
| Pita bread | ||
| Plain yogurt | ||
| Mint | ||
| Cucumber slices |
Put the ground lamb into a bowl with the remaining ingredients and mix well. Shape into 4 patties.
Put under the broiler, 4 inches from the heat, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, until browned and firm.
Serve in pita bread with yogurt, mint, and cucumber slices.
