| 1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Ground sirloin |
| 16 oz | 454g | Tomato sauce |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Granulated sugar |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Chili powder |
| 8 oz | 227g | Wide noodles |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Sour cream |
| 3 oz | 85g | Cream cheese |
| 2 teaspoons | 10ml | Chopped chives |
| Grated cheddar cheese |
Brown meat in a large skillet; pour off fat. Add tomato sauce, sugar, salt and chili powder. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 350F. Meanwhile, cook noodles. Drain. Line the bottom of a 9-by-13-inch casserole with a third of the noodles. Mix sour cream, cream cheese and chives thoroughly. Spread 1/3 of the cheese mixture over noodles.
Top with 1/3 of the meat sauce. Repeat each layer twice. Bake for 25 minutes or until mixture is bubbly. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and return to oven until cheese melts.
