Homemade Barbecue Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
| 4 cups | 948ml | Ketchup |
| 1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Finely-chopped yellow onions |
| 1/2 cup | 164g / 5.8oz | Steen's cane syrup |
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Dry red wine |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Fresh lemon juice |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Creole mustard |
| = (or other spicy whole-grain mustard) | ||
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Dark brown sugar |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Minced garlic |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Minced jalapeño peppers |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Emeril's Red Pepper Sauce |
| = (or other hot pepper sauce) | ||
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Cayenne |
Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Stir to mix well. Use immediately, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
