Smoky Coleslaw Recipe - Cooking Index
For your convenience, buy packages of shredded cabbage.
Courses: Salads1/2 cup | 118ml | Mayonnaise |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cider vinegar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sugar - or more to taste |
2 cups | 474ml | Shredded green cabbage - (packed) |
1 | Green onion - chopped | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped red bell pepper |
3 | Strips cooked bacon - crumbled | |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Combine mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar in mixing bowl. Add cabbage to dressing and mix until cabbage is thoroughly moistened. Add onion, bell pepper, bacon and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
Each serving: 161 calories; 365 mg sodium; 12 mg cholesterol; 12 grams fat; 12 grams carbohydrates; 2 grams protein; 0.38 gram fiber.
