Recipe Ingredients

4   Veal or lamb shanks
  Well seasoned flour
1   Garlic - minced
3 tablespoons 45mlOlive oil
1 cup 237mlCanned consomme
1/4 cup 59mlDry white wine
2 tablespoons 30mlTomato paste
1   Lemon - cut into strips , rind of
3   Carrots - finely diced (small)
1 tablespoon 15mlParsley - chopped
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlDried marjoram - crushed
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlDried oregano - crushed
1/8 teaspoon 0.6mlDried sage - crushed

Recipe Instructions

Roll shanks in flour; brown with garlic in hot oil in skillet. Add remaining ingredients to crockpot. Stir to mix. Add shanks.

Cover pot and cook on LOW for 10 to 12 hours until shanks are tender.

Garnish with parsley. Serve with pasta.
