| 3/4 cup | 109g / 3.8oz | Coarsely-chopped pecans |
| 3/4 cup | 109g / 3.8oz | Coarsely-chopped walnuts |
| 1 1/2 cups | 139g / 4.9oz | Flaked coconut - (a 3 1/2-oz can) |
| 1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Sunflower seeds (meat only) |
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Wheat germ |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground cinnamon |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
| 1 | Sweetened condensed milk - (14 oz) | |
| 1/4 cup | 59ml | Vegetable oil |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Banana chips - (optional) |
| 1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Dark raisins |
| 1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Golden raisins |
| 1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Dried cherries |
| 1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Dried apricots - diced |
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except banana chips and raisins, cherries and apricots. Mix well. Spread evenly in an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet.
Bake 55 to 60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven; stir in banana chips, raisins, cherries and apricots. Cool thoroughly. Store tightly covered at room temperature.
This recipe yields 2 1/2 quarts.
