President Reagan's Macaroni And Cheese Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Macaroni |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Warm milk |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Butter |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Hot water |
| 1 | Egg; beaten | |
| Sharp american cheese; | ||
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dry mustard |
| - shredded | ||
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
Cook macaroni in pot until tender. Drain. Mix butter, egg, mustard, salt, milk and hot water. Combine macaroni and butter mixture in bowl. Add 3 cups shredded cheese. Combine. Pour into buttered casserole. Sprinkle with additional shredded cheese.
Bake at 350F 45 minutes, or until custard is set and top is crusty.
