Bachelor Meat Stew

Put meat in pan first and add some meat tenderizer if desired.

3   Onions - quartered (medium)
2 lbs 908g / 32ozStewing beef - in chunks
6   Carrots - cut up
1 cup 110g / 3.9ozCut-up celery
16 oz 454gCanned tomatoes
8 oz 227gTomato sauce
4 oz 113gPotatoes - quartered (medium)
3 tablespoons 45mlTapioca
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlSalt

Recipe Instructions

Place all ingredients in a tightly covered Dutch oven (heavy 5-quart pot with tightly fitting cover). Bake in 300 degree oven for 5 hours. Do not open at any time. Do not increase amounts of ingredients.
