Pizza Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Olive oil |
| 1 | Garlic clove - crushed | |
| 1 | Tomato puree - (28 oz) | |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dried marjoram |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dried basil |
| Salt - to taste | ||
| Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Over medium heat, heat oil in a saucepan until hot. Add all ingredients, cover and bring to a boil. Uncover, lower heat and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.
This recipe yields 3 cups.
Pizza Toppings for Red Sauce: Shredded mozzarella, fresh basil, cooked turkey sausage.

Suggested Toppings for sauceless pizza: Olive oil, Italian herb spice blend, sliced yellow tomatoes, fresh rosemary and parsley, smoked salmon.
