Plain Fried Rice Recipe - Cooking Index
| 3 tablespoons | 45ml | Vegetable oil |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Onion - chopped |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Garlic - chopped |
| 5 cups | 800g / 28oz | Cooked long-grain rice |
| 1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Tofu - diced |
| 3 tablespoons | 45ml | Soy sauce |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | White pepper |
| Garnish | ||
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cilantro leaves - chopped |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Cucumber - sliced |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Red & green chilies - chopped |
| 3 | Green onions - chopped | |
| 1 | Lime - cut into wedges |
Heat the oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add the onion & stir-fry for 3 minutes. Add the garlic & stir-fry until both are golden. Add the rice & the tofu & stir-fry for 3 minutes. Sprinkle with soy sauce & white pepper. Remove from heat & place in a serving dish surrounded with garnishes.
