Apple Dumpling Cake Recipe - Cooking Index
| 3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Shortening |
| 2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Sugar |
| 2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Eggs (large) |
| 2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Plus 4 tbs all-purpose flour |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cinnamon |
| 1/2 tablespoon | 7.5ml | Baking soda |
| 2 cups | 474ml | Applesauce |
| 1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Brown sugar |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Nuts |
| 4 tablespoons | 60ml | Butter |
| 1/2 tablespoon | 7.5ml | Salt |
Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add flour, salt, soda, cinnamon. Blend in applesauce and spread on 9X13 greased-floured pan. Mix brown sugar, 4 tbs flour, the nuts and butter. Sprinkle over top of cake. Bake at 350-375F for 50-60 minutes.
