| 1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Flour |
| 1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Dates |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Nuts |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Nutmeg |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cinnamon |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cloves |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Soda |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Shortening |
| Frosting | ||
| 1 cup | 237ml | Philadelphia cream cheese |
| 1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Powdered sugar |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla and nuts |
Mix all cake ingredients together and bake for 35 minutes at 350F.
After cake has cooled, mix all frosting ingredients together and spread over cake.
