| 3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Onions (large) |
| 7 | Garlic | |
| 3 teaspoons | 15ml | Ground cumin |
| 3 teaspoons | 15ml | Cayenne pepper |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Red pepper flakes |
| 5 tablespoons | 75ml | Chili powder |
| 2 | Bay leaves | |
| 2 | Tomatoes - (28 oz) | |
| 1 | Bell pepper - diced (medium) | |
| 2 | Tomato paste - (12 oz) | |
| 1 | Chili beans - (28 oz) | |
| 3 oz | 85g | Canned jalapeno peppers - sliced |
Brown beef, onions, and bell pepper. Add garlic.
When browned add rest of the ingredients except beans and jalapenos.
Simmer for 2 hours. Add beans and jalapeno peppers and simmer for one hour longer.
