| 2 | Garlic cloves - peeled | |
| 1 | Habenero or Scotch bonnet pepper - seeded | |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Dijon mustard |
| 3 tablespoons | 45ml | White vinegar |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cane or corn syrup |
| 1/4 cup | 59ml | Extra-virgin olive oil |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
| 1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Cooked black beans - still firm, but |
| Fully cooked |
Combine all of the above ingredients.
